MACV's Steering Committee:

  • MACV will have a 9 to 11 person Steering Committee to enhance MACV's Executive Committee.
    • No VSC or MACV Directors will be on this Steering Committee except David Sassman, MACV & VSC Committees Cooginator.
  • MACV's Steering Committees function will be to provide new ideas, support, advocacy and enablement for helping to make MACV grow. 
  • MACV's Steering Committee is not designed to manage or run MACV, rather the Steering Committee should help facilitate MACV's Executive Committee's ability to plan and direct old and new projects by giving advice and support along the way.
  • MACV's Steering Committee meets the third Tuesday of each month at the same location of MACV's Networking meeting from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.

MACV's Mission:

  • Hold monthly Networking meetings with public and private Veterans Service Providers;
  • Form Research Committees that gather information on topics of the concerns and needs of our Veteran population;
  • Identify local Service Organizations that provides services and programs to our Marion County Veterans that can be published on VSC's Resource Center.

MACV's Goals:

  • Better serve, inform, and advise the Mayors' and Town Managers of Marion County on issues that affect Veterans, Military and their Families in our community;
  • Better serve, inform, and advise our Marion County Veterans, Military and their Families about services and programs available to them by helping VSC build a database made up from organizations in our communities that are already striving to help our Veterans, Military personnel and their Families.

VSC's & MACV Research Committee Meetings:

Anyone interested in serving on any of VSC or MACV's Research Committees to help benefit our Marion County Veterans are welcome to attend. Please visit the "Committees" page for additional informaion.

MACV & VSC's Research Committees usually meet once a month at a date, time and place designated by the Committee Chairperson.

MACV's Meetings for Networking Meetings:

  • Anyone that wants to share their information on how they or their organization can benefit Marion County Veterans is welcome to attend.
  • MACV meetings are always on the 3rd Tuesday of each month and runs from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.
